Kandy Kadawat Satara and Gangawata Korale local councils are formed as a combination of parts of Kandy and Senkadagala constituencies. More than 125000 people live in this jurisdiction. This jurisdiction consists of about 75 square kilometers and consists of about 25 village officer domains.
Consisting of 03 zones namely Ampitiya, Thannekumbura and Bowala, this jurisdiction consists of Ampitiya head office and Bowala sub office. Consisting of 05 main libraries, Ayurvedic clinics, maternity clinics, stadium facilities, crematorium services, hall facilities etc. are also unique. The most important service is the waste management department. To provide all these services, the council has about 110 employees and about 25 vehicles.
It is the function of this council to collect revenue and provide utility services, including assessment revenue, business tax, industry tax, stamp duty, court fines and other services. The annual income of this year is more than 30 crore rupees and the total target income of 2024 is expected to be around 33 crore rupees.
